A lot is happening in the world of Abastones

Posted by Serenity Barzda-Tyler on

When I was a little girl, I started to collect rocks and gems. When I grew up and got married, my husband made an observation and realized that I had stones in every single room of our home. He encouraged me to make jewelry out of them so I could share something I am so passionate about with others and not just hoard them all to myself. I decided that was an amazing idea and then all of a sudden we stumbled upon an enormous amount of turquoise/chrysocolla that we collected and I just started cutting and making random items. I never imagined I would be where I am today with everything.

Every day I am so thankful for my dad (Paul), who helped me to open my eyes when I would rock hunt to find the beauty within. My mom (Tammy), who helps me decide what would look amazing and who helps me grow my social media presence. My oldest sister (Constance), who helps me with marketing ideas and ads. My friend Kristen, who lent me the items to be able to take photos and videos with ease. My amazing step kids, family and friends, who are my biggest advocates and cheerleaders, and last but definitely not least, my husband David and my daughter Alora, who encourage me daily to open up and explore all new avenues. Who encourage me to be the best I can be every day and who pick me up when I am weak and weary.

I am so excited to see where Abastones takes me. I am so truly thankful <3
